Change The World, Create Something!
In the video is Techno-Kisi II, premiering at the Skirball Museum in Los Angeles in the exhibition An Idea Called Tomorrow, co created by Michele Lee of CAAM and Erin Clancey of the Skriball Museum. With an emphasis on what it would look like to create a new society, Michele asked the artist to synthesis fresh ideas and perspectives that when placed into action work harmoniously to transform the inner and outer paradigm of our existence.
Techno-Kisi II is an attempt to unhook the seat of power through technology, thereby giving voice to those who have been kept traditionally outside of change; this transformative moment is a groundbreaking representation-an Nkisi has never had technology at the center of it before.
What Seneferu's art shows is how art becomes altar in "rarified" space when the intention is to transform the past and present by crossroading, creating something new, the future.
