Change The World, Create Something!

Random Act of Music 20: The Early Future Mother Ship has landed. One last night with The Real Live Show!

NYC lost something special last month with the finale of Early Future Sessions by The Real Live Show every Tuesdays at Nublu. Spearheaded by Malik Work and Stimulus, The Real Live Show put together a futuristic themed live show with a live band with New York Cities most talented musicians in rotation. Weekly they would address current events and incorporate them into the theme of the night. You would find your favorite artists popping in and blessing the Early Future mic, like Cecelia Stalin, Kissey Asplund, The Crowd, Architects and Demolition Men, Meta (of Meta and The Cornerstones) and too many more to name. It could easily be the musicians "Happy Place".

Check out some clips of the last Early Future Session at NuBlu with an interview with TRLS member, Malik Work:

Being face to face with everyone meant the crowd was almost interactive. Having been an audience member and a repeat guest on the mother-ship (they let me be "Lieutenant"!) Early Future Sessions was a unique experience. It allowed me to explore my artist self in a supportive environment. There aren't too many places the band encourages you to become part of their vibe.

Bonus Vid: Last Year, I spent my birthday on the mother-ship!

Don't worry! Although the ship has landed, The Real Live show continues to rock venues all over NYC. Get on board!
