DaM-FunK Back In NYC

Being a site focused on emerging culture and art all across the globe is a mighty task to take on. Stamping passports while chasing down the freshest new CREATORS around can get costly! While Team SHAE does it's fair share of globe trotting lucky for us we live in NYC -if we’re patient- the freshest CREATORS around will come to us!

New York, New York! Ahhhh... You can't deny we've gotten blessed with some amazing outdoor shows this summer. Large and small venues all across the city have been busy playing host to CREATORS from all across the globe seeking to make a buzz -or just bless- NYC fans.
(After a miserably unsuccessful mission to catch him at one of the 157,367 shows he appeared at during SXSW 2010) Way back in June Team SHAE finally met up with our favorite Master Blazter, producer, songwriter, dj, magician- the Cali based DaM-Funk right here in BK. Dope, fresh, amazing and (wait for it)... FUNKY!

So why am I telling you all this?

No, not to reminisce or gloat about 'laxin with push cart tacos and cold blue ribbon- chilling hard as DaM banged record after record of classic funk jams and freestyles for a tiny group of kids on the Gowanus waterfront. Nope. Nor am I here to spread the possible rumor that DaM let me run my fingers through his mane. No.

I’m here to tell you that after bouncing around the country bringing FUNK to dance floors in every city DaM-Funk is right back here in Brooklyn.This Week. For Free!
