The Kuyu Project's Page

The Kuyu Project is a digital literacy initiative aimed at teaching African High School students how to fully utilize social media and other digital tools to effect social change in their communities as well as to achieve their personal goals and objectives. We deeply believe that by doing this we are fuelling the dreams and aspirations of these young minds which might one day lead to the innovations and technologically driven solutions that will change Africa and the world.

We intend to use the funds from the AFRIKA21 project to consolidate our resources in research, curriculum and technical development to build and market an open literacy framework based on a digital literacy curriculum aimed at helping African youth understand the value of technology and use it to seek out opportunities for social change as well as to achieve their personal objectives. The Open Literacy Framework will be free and publicly accessible via the web and mobile devices.
