Up and Coming Curators

Phew......For the past 18months ive been on a programme called the Young Curators programme, and it is a programme designed by Cape Africa Platform whereby they selected 5 young people from different cities in South Africa and trained them to become professional art curators and I happened to be one of them. Part of the programme was that each curator would travel to one country in Africa and one country in Europe and do an internship with different art institutiions and so we did. Also went…See More

im a sucka for wierd clothes, im totally obsessed with Busi Mhlongo 's music, dont think ill ever get over my thing for skaters and hip hop heads, If I had to be a krazie diva id be Erykah Badu and ive decided that Madlib is one of the hottest stoners I know.

I was born in Kagiso a wierd lil township in Johannesburg, I live in Cape Town for now sometimez I miss Johburg, the whole vibe noord taxi rank, hanging out with my boys in shady shebeens downtown, tsotsi taal and the black people of course.

Greetings to everyone on the nest and my apologiz for taking so long to blog i've been a bit caught up with work.



Im working on the Cape Town Biennale, Curating a show in memory of Brenda Fassie one of South Africa's most talented artists. Only got two weeks left and im freaking out a bit trying to wrap up everything. Will be working with young talented artists from all around the country and im very excited to see how everything is going to turn out.

The fair was amazing but was working, my gallery was showing work, so didnt really get to to look as much as I would like.

You should defo come out here!
Fashion is big business and the magazines are getting bigger and better.
