Over the past year I've had the opportunity to be a part of Jayda B.'s independent music blog, "DENT Radio". As a study abroad student in Tokyo, but originally from Atlanta, Jayda B. wanted to make a radio show that highlighted her music networks from Atlanta to Japan. Music on the show has since expanded to Philly, Baltimore, NYC, Canada, and more. Submissions and interview guests from all over are welcomed!…

I can't believe how terribly wrong this year went! I'm sticking around to make it right...

Hello SocietyHAE Fam & Guest readers!

I'm still in Tokyo.

I've been in Japan for 3 years and everyday is a new adventure. I enjoy the bustle of millions of people, the cleanliness and safety of the city, the international diversity, and the freedom of being a "foreigner". Sometimes it is difficult being lost in translation and misunderstood, but that fuels my desire to learn the language more proficiently. I love Tokyo; the crowded streets, neon lights, variety of food, the club and music scene, and multitudes of opportunities to be involved in any and everything. I also like the fact that I can play whatever music I like when I DJ because there are plenty of venues. I'm definitely passing my love of Baltimore Club and Go Go on to the Land of the Rising Sun!

Yo, yo,

Thanks for hittin' me up. Couple of years back I had a layover in Japan (spent 3 weeks in Malaysia and Singapore) and tried desperately to get to Tokyo to hang with a friend. Didn't work out :-( Would love to hear exactly what you are doing there. And that track on my page is ridiculous. From a group called Justice (out of Paris). You've probably heard of 'em. Hit me up at your next convenience. Keep it cool.
