SOCIETY HAE

Change The World, Create Something!

AFRIKA21

Society HAE conceptualized AFRIKA21 with the goal of creating a platform to celebrate the creative thinkers on the continent and reframe the conversation around Africa.  We continue to be blessed with the opportunity to meet artists, musicians, filmmakers and the like from the continent that inspire much of what we do.  AFRIKA21 enables us to share “the good” they create with the world. The AFRIKA21 initiative produces multimedia events including but not limited conferences, panel discussions, art installation and performances.  Our projects to date has included programming at South By Southwest (SXSW), Lincoln Center of The Performing Arts, The Museum of Art and Design, Brooklyn Museum and Social Media Week NYC.

The AFRIKA21 Mixtape serves as an opportunity to celebrate Africaʼs next wave of musicians, highlight the renaissance taking place on the continent and raise the profile of people and organizations working toward farming a new vision of Africa in the 21st century. The mixtape series is available as a free digital download, which to date has been downloaded/shared by over 11,000 people.  Check out our current mixtape: http://www.societyhae.com/page/afrika21-mixtape

AFRIKA21 Radio is your soundtrack for the new African renaissance.  Society HAE and BBOX Radioteam up every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm EST to bring you the latest sounds from the continent. Listeners can tune in online and hear new music from the continent as well as interviews with African musicians who are also community organizers, entrepreneurs and thought leaders in their respective countries.
