WHAT IS EARLY HARVEST?
It is a party - the marquis stop on Shalewa's Birthday Tour with music by some of New York Citys finest DJs, including Herb Martin! In addition to a toast and birthday cupcakes, VIP guests will enjoy a delicious buffet.
It is a performance featuring favorite work from MUVs repertory as well as a sneak peek of new work that we are preparing for our upcoming 2010 season Ascendance in Bloom.
It is an opportunity for the community that has helped to shape the Urban Village to gather and celebrate an important milestone- five consecutive years of MUV produced events in Brooklyn- and to contribute to our continued growth and creative progress as we undertake the creation of new work expanding on the themes of Ascendance, extending our creative collaboration with composer Dunia Best-Sinnreich and commissioning a new work by choreographer, Aqila Norris.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Please purchase your tickets today!
We will need a small, but dedicate corps of volunteers to make Early Harvest a smash success. If you are interested and available to help please drop us a line at muvdance@gmail.com today.
If you cannot make the party but still want to support our efforts to continue creating new works that reflect the richness and beauty of the African Diaspora and celebrate the trials and the triumphs of contemporary urban life please take this opportunity to make a tax-deductible contribution to through our fiscal sponsor, the field. Check out www.muvdancecompany.org for complete details on making a donation.
