ARISE Magazine Fashion Week returns to Africa, Lagos Nigeria

Following the phenomenal success of the inaugural ARISE Magazine Fashion Week, ARISE is proud to announce that the celebrated showcase will return to Lagos in March 2012.

This year's fashion extravaganza will take place over an extended six days, from March 6-11, with 50 leading and up-and-coming designers invited to participate and show their designs.

ARISE Magazine Fashion Week 2012 will culminate in the prestigious ARISE Magazine Fashion Awards. And as well as awarding prizes, ARISE will select the best designers of the event to participate in our annual collective at New York Fashion Week in September.

"There is a side of Lagos that chimes well with the international fashion scene," says ARISE Magazine founder Nduka Obaigbena. "We at ARISE Magazine recognise that the city has much to offer in the way of vibrancy and extraordinary talent in abundance making it the cultural capital of Africa.

"Once more we are proud to be associated with nurturing new designers from the vast continent – and continuing our support of those who are more well known in Nigeria and in the diaspora."
